The most important things that happened with my career in 2010.

It`s been a while since I announced some news on my website so here are the most important things that happened with my career in 2010.

After many years of touring and playing worldwide, 2010. was the year of constant studio work for me.
I finally managed to replace hotel rooms,tour buses/planes seats with something much more comfortable-my own bed!

Guess it`s time to present the album that i worked on (with great joy and pleasure) throughout the last year called “STAY TUNED”.
It`s a charity project from my dear friend/amazing musician BERNHARD WELZ and his first solo record that features some of the biggest names in rock music.
This album will be released soon under the patronage of HER MAJESTY QUEEN SILVIA OF SWEDEN and “World Childhood Foundation”.
The list of artists that played on the record is really impressive featuring  band-members of DEEP PURPLE, ERIC CLAPTON, WHITESNAKE, LEVEL 42, TOTO, PINK FLOYD, KATRINA AND THE WAVES…

I had great honour to play on 8 songs and to mix/master the whole project.

Official promotion and live DVD recording of the album will take place at “RONNIE SCOTT`S CLUB”  London, in spring 2011.

2010 was also the year of heavy grief and sorrow for all of us who played with JON LORD/Concerto for Group and Orchestra `cause we lost our friend, GOTTHARD singer STEVE LEE who died in rather bizarre traffic accident in the USA.
There`s a live recording of “CHILD IN TIME” with Steve on vocals and “Nota Bene Symphonic Orchestra” from our concert in Zurich as a bonus track on the album.
Bernie wrote a beautiful ballad for Steve called “Fading Away” that closes the album,so pls if you listen to the songs close your eyes for the moment and let his voice fill your heart with warmth and happiness that will never fade away…

RIP my friend,we all miss you.

And the last but not least is the news that i got the award
“BEST OVERALL GUITARIST IN 2010” from FENDER.
